# Section Analytics Overview
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/analytics/section-analytics-overview
Section Analytics is a Pro-only dashboard showing how each installed section performs on your store. See total views, clicks, CTR, time spent, top performers, and AI-generated recommendations — all filterable by 30, 60, or 90 days.
Section Analytics is a performance dashboard available to Pro plan subscribers that shows how each installed section is performing on your Shopify store. Instead of guessing which sections are engaging your visitors, you get actual data to make informed design decisions.
Section Analytics is available on the Pro Monthly ($9/month) and Pro Annual ($81/year) plans only. It is not available on the Free plan. If you are not on Pro, the Analytics page will prompt you to upgrade.
## **How to Access Analytics**
Click **Analytics** in the left sidebar of the Iconic Sections app. The dashboard loads with data for all sections currently installed on your store.
Analytics data begins collecting from the moment sections are installed on your store. There is no historical data available for time periods before installation, and no data is available for sections that have not yet been installed.
## **Choosing a Time Range**
At the top of the Analytics page, use the **Time Range** selector to choose your reporting period:
* Last **30 days**
* Last **60 days**
* Last **90 days**
All metrics on the page update to reflect the selected period.
## **Performance Overview**
The Performance Overview section shows four top-level metrics for all your sections combined during the selected period:
* **Total Views** — the total number of times any of your sections was seen by a visitor
* **Total Clicks** — the total number of clicks across all sections
* **Average CTR** — the average click-through rate across all sections (clicks ÷ views × 100)
* **Average Time Spent** — the average time visitors spent looking at your sections
These numbers give you a quick read on overall engagement before diving into individual section performance.
## **Top Performing Sections**
This section highlights which sections stand out in three categories:
* **Highest CTR** — the section getting the most clicks relative to the number of views
* **Highest Engagement** — the section where visitors spend the most time and scroll the deepest
* **Most Closed** — the section associated with the most visitor exit or conversion interactions
Use these to identify which sections are your strongest performers and consider featuring them more prominently on your store.
## **Recommendations**
The Recommendations panel flags sections that may need attention and suggests specific improvements. Each recommendation is labeled with one of these signals:
* **High Click Rate** — performing well; continue as is
* **Low Engagement** — visitors are not spending much time or interacting; the section may need stronger content or a call-to-action
* **High CTR** — strong performance; consider A/B testing or promoting this section further
Act on the low engagement flags first — those sections represent the biggest opportunity for improvement.
## **Detailed Section Analytics Table**
At the bottom of the page, a table lists every installed section with its individual metrics:
* **Views**
* **Clicks**
* **Avg. Time Spent**
* **Avg. Scroll Depth**
* **CTR**
Sort the table by any column to find your best and worst performing sections quickly.
# Understanding Your Analytics Metrics
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/analytics/understanding-your-analytics-metrics
This doc explains every metric in the Section Analytics dashboard — Views, Clicks, CTR, Average Time Spent, and Scroll Depth — and shows you how to interpret them to improve your store's section performance.
The Section Analytics dashboard gives you five key metrics for each installed section. This guide explains what each one means, what counts as good performance, and how to use the data to make better decisions about your store's design.
Section Analytics is a Pro plan feature. See Section Analytics Overview for how to access the dashboard.
## **Views**
**What it measures:** The number of times a section was rendered in a visitor's browser during the selected period.
A "view" is counted each time a section loads on a page for a real visitor. If the same visitor sees the same section on three separate visits, that counts as three views.
**How to use it:** Views tell you how much traffic a section is receiving. A section with very low views may be placed on a low-traffic page, positioned too far down the page for most visitors to reach, or simply not be added to enough pages. A section with high views but low clicks suggests it is being seen but not engaging people.
## **Clicks**
**What it measures:** The total number of times a visitor clicked on any element within the section.
Clicks can include buttons, links, images, or any interactive element within the section that a visitor interacts with.
**How to use it:** Clicks indicate active engagement. A section that gets many views but few clicks may have unclear call-to-action elements, unappealing visuals, or content that does not match visitor intent on that page.
## **CTR (Click-Through Rate)**
**What it measures:** The percentage of views that resulted in at least one click.
**Formula:** CTR = (Clicks ÷ Views) × 100
**Example:** If a section had 500 views and 75 clicks, its CTR is 15%.
**What is a good CTR?** CTR benchmarks vary by section type. A Hero section with a prominent call-to-action button might reasonably achieve 10–25% CTR. An informational FAQ or Testimonials section may have a much lower CTR of 2–5% and still be doing its job well, since its purpose is to build trust rather than drive clicks.
**How to use it:** CTR is the most actionable metric. A low CTR on a section that should be driving clicks (like a product showcase or promotion) signals that the content, button wording, or visual design needs attention.
## **Average Time Spent**
**What it measures:** The average number of seconds or minutes visitors spent within the section's visible area before scrolling away.
**How to use it:** Longer time spent generally indicates higher engagement — the visitor is reading, watching, or interacting with the content. Short time spent on a content-heavy section (like a detailed FAQ or a video section) suggests visitors are skipping past it. Consider whether the opening visual or headline is compelling enough to make visitors stop and engage.
## **Average Scroll Depth**
**What it measures:** How far down through the section the average visitor scrolled, expressed as a percentage. 100% means the visitor scrolled all the way to the bottom of the section.
**How to use it:** Scroll depth is most useful for tall sections — long FAQ lists, multi-image galleries, or extended testimonials. A low scroll depth on a tall section means visitors are not seeing the content below the fold. Consider whether the most important content is visible near the top of the section, or whether the section is too long.
## **Using Recommendations Together**
The dashboard's Recommendations panel combines these metrics to flag specific sections for attention:
* **High CTR + Low Time Spent** — visitors are clicking quickly, which may mean they are not reading the content before clicking; the call-to-action is working but content could be strengthened
* **High Views + Low CTR** — a section that many people see but few click; review the call-to-action and visual design
* **Low Engagement** — both time spent and scroll depth are low; the section may not be relevant to the page it is on, or the opening content is not drawing visitors in
# How One-Time Section Purchases Work
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/billing/how-one-time-section-purchases-work
On the Free plan, individual paid sections are available as one-time purchases. Pay once and own that section permanently — reinstall it on any theme, any time, at no extra cost. Purchases appear in My Library under the Purchased filter.
On the Free plan, you can build your section library one section at a time. Each paid section is available as a one-time purchase — you pay a fixed price once and own that section permanently. There are no hidden fees, no renewal charges, and no expiry date on what you own.
## **How Pricing Works**
Each section in the Iconic Sections library has its own price. Free sections cost nothing and can be installed right away. Paid sections display their one-time price on the section card in the library.
Prices are set individually per section and vary based on the complexity and value of the design.
## **How to Make a One-Time Purchase**
1. On the **Sections** page, click any paid section to open its details.
2. In the details pop-up, click **Purchase now**.
3. Shopify's billing prompt appears, showing the section name and the one-time price.
4. Click **Approve** to confirm the purchase.
5. The section is immediately unlocked — select your theme and click Install to add it to your store.
The charge appears on your regular Shopify invoice. No subscription is created — it is a single charge with no follow-up billing.
## **What You Own After Purchasing**
After purchasing a section:
* You own it **permanently** — there is no expiry date
* You can **reinstall it on any theme** in your store, as many times as you like, at no extra cost
* You receive all **future updates** to that section at no charge
* Your purchase is recorded in **My Library** under the Purchased filter
* Your ownership is tied to your store — it does not transfer to other stores
## **Bundle Purchases Work the Same Way**
Bundles are also sold as one-time purchases. Buying a bundle gives you permanent ownership of every section in that bundle under the same terms — reinstallable, updatable, and stored in My Library indefinitely.
## **Comparing One-Time Purchases vs Pro**
If you plan to use many sections over time, compare the cumulative cost of individual purchases against a Pro subscription:
* If you need **three or more paid sections**, a Pro subscription at \$9/month may be more economical than buying each one individually
* If you only need **one or two specific sections**, one-time purchases are the most cost-efficient option
Use the Try Before You Buy feature to preview any paid section on a development theme before committing to a purchase.
# How to Upgrade or Downgrade Your Plan
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/billing/how-to-upgrade-or-downgrade-your-plan
Upgrade to Pro in a few clicks from the Pricing page. Switching billing cycles requires cancelling and resubscribing. Downgrading from Pro removes access to Pro Sections, Conversion Blocks, and Analytics but keeps your installed regular sections in place.
You can change your Iconic Sections plan at any time. This guide covers how to upgrade, switch billing cycles, and downgrade — along with what each change means for your installed sections.
## **How to Upgrade from Free to Pro**
1. In the Iconic Sections app, click **Pricing** in the left sidebar.
2. At the top of the page, use the **Monthly / Annual** toggle to choose your preferred billing cycle.
3. Click **Get Pro**.
4. Shopify's billing prompt appears — review the subscription terms and click **Approve**.
5. Pro features are activated immediately.
After upgrading, you have instant access to all paid sections, Pro Sections, Conversion Blocks, Section Analytics, and all other Pro features.
## **How to Switch Between Monthly and Annual Billing**
Switching between billing cycles (for example, from monthly to annual to save 25%) requires cancelling your current plan and resubscribing on the new cycle:
1. Go to the **Pricing** page and click **Cancel plan** under your current Pro subscription.
2. Confirm the cancellation — your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
3. Once the period ends, return to the Pricing page and subscribe to the other billing cycle.
If you want to switch from monthly to annual mid-cycle, contact the support team at arhamwebworks.com/contact — they may be able to assist with the transition without waiting for the billing period to end.
## **What Happens When You Downgrade from Pro to Free**
If you cancel Pro and return to the Free plan:
* **Sections already installed** on your themes remain in place — they are not automatically removed from your theme files
* **Paid sections** that were included in your Pro subscription become inaccessible for new installations unless you purchase them individually; sections already installed continue to function while in the theme
* **Pro Sections** (such as Frequently Bought Together and Product Comparison) become locked — they will no longer display on your store, since there is no one-time purchase option to fall back on
* **Conversion Blocks** become locked — they will no longer display on your store's product pages and will be hidden or non-functional
* **Section Analytics** becomes inaccessible — the data is not deleted but you cannot view it on the Free plan
* **One-time purchased sections** (bought before or during your Pro subscription) remain fully yours and can still be installed
Before downgrading, review your installed sections and note which ones are paid sections you accessed via Pro. After downgrading, you may want to purchase specific ones individually to maintain permanent access.
# Managing Your Subscription and Billing
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/billing/managing-your-subscription-and-billing
View your current plan on the Pricing page, cancel anytime and keep Pro until the period ends, access invoices through the Mantle Billing Portal, and manage everything through Shopify — no separate billing account needed.
All billing for Iconic Sections is managed through Shopify — there is no separate billing account or credit card to maintain. This guide covers how to view your plan, cancel your subscription, access invoices, and handle common billing situations.
## **Viewing Your Current Plan**
To see your current plan and billing status:
1. In the Iconic Sections app, click **Pricing** in the left sidebar.
2. The top of the Pricing page shows your current plan name and the billing amount.
Your next billing date and subscription status are also visible here.
## **Cancelling Your Pro Subscription**
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time with no cancellation fee:
1. Go to the **Pricing** page in the app.
2. Click **Cancel plan** under your current subscription details.
3. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
After cancelling:
* Your Pro access continues until the **end of the current billing period** — you are not cut off immediately
* You will **not** be charged again after the current period ends
* Your account reverts to the **Free plan** when the period ends
* One-time purchased sections remain permanently accessible in My Library
Cancelling your Pro subscription does not remove sections from your installed themes. Existing installations continue to work, but Pro-only features (Conversion Blocks, Analytics) become inaccessible once the period ends.
## **Accessing Invoices and Billing History**
Iconic Sections uses a **Mantle Billing Portal** for detailed billing management. To access it:
1. In the left sidebar, click **Billing**.
2. You are redirected to the Mantle-hosted billing page — an external portal that shows your full billing history, plan details, and invoices.
For Shopify-level billing records (all Shopify charges combined), go to your **Shopify admin > Settings > Billing** to see your complete Shopify invoices.
## **Multi-Store Usage**
Each Shopify store requires its own independent Iconic Sections installation and plan. A Pro subscription on one store does not extend to any other stores you own or manage. If you want Pro features on a second store, you need to install the app and subscribe separately on that store.
## **Contacting Support for Billing Issues**
For questions or disputes about Iconic Sections charges, contact the support team:
* **Website:** [arhamwebworks.com/contact](https://arhamwebworks.com/contact/)
* **In-app:** Click the chat icon inside the Iconic Sections app
For Shopify-level billing disputes (the charge itself on your Shopify invoice), contact **Shopify Support** directly.

The Free plan lets you install the app and start using sections immediately with no payment required. Free sections are fully available from day one. Paid sections can be unlocked at any time with a one-time purchase — you pay once and own that section permanently.
**Best for:** Stores that want to try the app first, or stores that only need one or two specific sections.
**Not included:** Pro Sections, Conversion Blocks, Section Analytics, Product Comparison Table.
## **Pro Monthly — \$9/month**
A Pro subscription gives you unlimited access to every section in the library — no per-section charges. It also unlocks all Pro-exclusive features: Pro Sections like Frequently Bought Together and Product Comparison, Conversion Blocks for product pages, Section Analytics, custom section requests, a free store consultation, and priority support.
**Best for:** Stores actively redesigning or growing, who want unrestricted access to the full library without tracking individual purchases.
## **Pro Annual — \$81/year**
Everything in Pro Monthly, billed once per year. At $81/year, the effective monthly rate is $6.75 — a saving of over \$27 compared to paying monthly for 12 months.
**Best for:** Stores that know they will use the app long-term and want to save money over the year.
If you are already using the app consistently every month, switching to annual billing pays for itself within a few months.
## **All Billing Goes Through Shopify**
All charges — subscriptions and one-time purchases — are processed through Shopify billing and appear on your regular Shopify invoice. There is no separate payment method to manage.
# How to Browse and Install Conversion Blocks
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/blocks/how-to-browse-and-install-conversion-blocks
Browse Conversion Blocks from the Blocks page, then install them to your theme and add them to your product page template in the Shopify Theme Editor. A Pro subscription is required to unlock and install any block.
Conversion Blocks go on your product pages to boost sales with urgency, trust, and social proof elements. This guide shows you how to find the right blocks and get them live on your store.
## **Before You Begin**
Conversion Blocks require an active **Pro subscription** (Monthly at $9/month or Annual at $81/year). If you are not yet on Pro, go to the Pricing page in the app to upgrade. See What Are Conversion Blocks? for a full explanation of the Pro requirement.
## **Navigating to the Blocks Page**
Click **Blocks** in the left sidebar of the Iconic Sections app. The Blocks page opens and shows:
* A banner explaining what Product Blocks are, with a link to a tutorial video
* A **Demo Stores** section with live examples showing how blocks look on real product pages
* The full block library in a grid layout
## **Browsing and Filtering Blocks**
Use the search bar to search for a specific block by name, or use the category filters to narrow the list. You can also sort blocks to find the newest additions or most popular choices.
Each block card shows a preview image, the block name, and either an install option (if you are on Pro) or a **"Subscribe to unlock"** button (if you are not on Pro).
## **Installing a Block**
Once you are on the Pro plan:
1. On the Blocks page, click the block you want to install.
2. Click **Add block** or the install option shown.
3. Select the theme you want to install the block to.
4. Confirm the installation.
The block files are now added to your selected theme.
## **Adding the Block to Your Product Page**
Installing the block adds it to your theme's available components, but you still need to place it on your product page in the Theme Editor:
1. In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes** and click **Customize**.
2. In the Theme Editor, navigate to your **Product** page template (use the page selector at the top).
3. In the left sidebar, look for the product information section — this is where your product title, price, and Add to Cart button are located.
4. Click **Add block** within the product section.
5. Scroll to the **Apps** category in the block list.
6. Find your Iconic Sections block and click it to add it.
7. Use the drag handles to reorder blocks within the product section.
8. Customize any settings for the block in the right-hand panel.
9. Click **Save**.
The block is now live on your product pages.
Test your product page on both desktop and mobile after adding blocks to make sure the layout looks right on both screen sizes.
Changes to the product page template apply to all products using that template. If you want blocks on only some products, you can create a separate product template in the Theme Editor and apply it selectively.
# What Are Conversion Blocks?
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/blocks/what-are-conversion-blocks
Conversion Blocks are Pro-only product page enhancements — trust badges, urgency timers, social proof, and more — that slot into your product page layout to increase sales. They are different from sections and require an active Pro subscription.
Conversion Blocks are a separate category of components available in Iconic Sections that are specifically designed to boost conversions on your product pages. Unlike sections — which are full-width layout components used across any page — Conversion Blocks are smaller, targeted elements that slot directly into your product page template alongside your existing product information.
## **How Blocks Differ From Sections**
| | Sections | Conversion Blocks |
| ------------- | -------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| Where they go | Any page (homepage, collection, about, etc.) | Product pages only |
| Layout | Full-width or structured layout components | Smaller, inline product page elements |
| Purpose | Design and content | Conversion and sales optimization |
| Plan required | Free, Pro, or one-time purchase | Pro plan only |
Sections build your store's layout. Blocks fine-tune your product pages to convert more visitors into buyers.
## **What Blocks Are Available**
The Conversion Blocks library includes a variety of product page enhancers:
* **Address product** — highlights key product details prominently
* **Video slider** — adds a video carousel to your product page
* **Clock status** — shows dispatch time or a "ships by" countdown
* **Discount label** — displays savings or discount percentage
* **Countdown timer** — urgency timer showing a sale or offer deadline
* **Product viewers counter** — shows how many people are viewing the product right now
* **Social proof** — real-time or recent purchase notifications
* **Delivery info** — estimated delivery dates and shipping details
* **Inventory badge** — shows low stock warnings ("Only 3 left")
* **Review summary** — displays a star rating summary from your reviews
* **Badges** — customizable badge icons for features like "Eco-friendly" or "Handmade"
* **Random sort** — randomizes product variant display order
* **Trust badges** — icons showing secure payment, free returns, and guarantees
* **Payment icons** — displays accepted payment method logos
* **Benefits** — a checklist-style benefits list for the product
## **Pro Plan Required**
Conversion Blocks are exclusively available on the **Pro Monthly** ($9/month) or **Pro Annual** ($81/year) plan. They cannot be unlocked with a one-time purchase.
If you are on the Free plan and see a **"Subscribe to unlock"** button on any block, upgrading to Pro is required to use it.
If boosting product page conversions is your priority, the Pro plan pays for itself quickly when even a small percentage of additional visitors convert to buyers.
## **Where to Find Blocks**
In the Iconic Sections app, click **Blocks** in the left sidebar. The Blocks page shows the full library of available conversion blocks, a banner with a tutorial video, and demo store examples so you can see blocks in action before installing.
# How to Purchase and Install a Bundle
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/bundles/how-to-purchase-and-install-a-bundle
Open a bundle, review what's included, purchase it through Shopify billing, then install all sections to your chosen theme at once. Purchased bundles can be reinstalled to any theme at any time from My Library.
Bundles let you install multiple sections at once with a single purchase. This guide walks you through the full process from browsing to having your bundle sections live on your store.
## **Step 1: Browse Bundles**
1. In the Iconic Sections app, click **Bundles** in the left sidebar.
2. The Bundles page shows all available bundle packages as cards with a preview image, name, and price.
3. Use the search bar to search by bundle name if you are looking for something specific.
4. Click a bundle card to open the **Bundle Details pop-up**.
## **Step 2: Review the Bundle**
The Bundle Details pop-up shows:
* The bundle name and description
* The total price
* A list of every section included in the bundle, with individual preview images and names
* A **View Demo** button to preview how the sections look live
Take a moment to review what is included. If you want to see a section in action before committing, click View Demo.
## **Step 3: Purchase the Bundle**
1. In the Bundle Details pop-up, click **Purchase now**.
2. Shopify's billing prompt appears to show the one-time bundle price.
3. Review the charge and click **Approve** to confirm.
The purchase is processed through Shopify billing and appears on your regular Shopify invoice. This is a one-time charge — there are no recurring fees for bundles.
## **Step 4: Install the Bundle**
After the purchase is confirmed:
1. A theme selector dropdown appears — choose the theme you want to install the bundle to.
2. Click **Install Bundle**.
3. All sections in the bundle are installed to your selected theme at once.
Installation completes in a few seconds. You will see a confirmation when all sections are successfully added to the theme.
## **Step 5: Add Sections to Pages**
Installing the bundle adds the section files to your theme, but you still need to place individual sections on your pages using the Shopify Theme Editor:
1. Go to **Online Store > Themes > Customize** in Shopify admin.
2. Navigate to the page where you want to add a bundle section.
3. Click **Add section** in the left sidebar.
4. Find the section by name in the list and click to add it.
5. Customize the content and settings in the right panel.
6. Click **Save**.
Repeat for each section in the bundle that you want to use.
## **Reinstalling on a Different Theme**
Your bundle purchase is permanent. If you later switch themes or want the sections on another theme, you can reinstall for free:
1. Go to **My Library** in the app.
2. Find the bundle under the **Bundles** tab, or find individual sections under the **Sections** tab.
3. Use the install option to add them to another theme.
After purchasing a bundle, explore each section in the Theme Editor individually. Some sections may suit pages you had not originally considered — testimonials on your about page, or a countdown bar on your collection page.
# What Are Bundles?
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/bundles/what-are-bundles
Bundles are curated collections of related sections sold together at a discounted price. Pay once and own every section in the bundle permanently — no subscription needed. Available to all plan types.
Bundles are pre-assembled collections of multiple related sections that you can purchase together at a lower price than buying each section individually. If you need several sections for a specific purpose — a seasonal sale campaign, a dropshipping store layout, or a full homepage redesign — a bundle gets you everything at once with a single payment.
## **How Bundles Work**
Each bundle contains a carefully curated set of sections that work well together for a specific use case or store type. You pay a one-time flat price for the bundle, and all included sections are unlocked permanently — no recurring fees, no subscription required.
Bundles are available to all plan types: Free and Pro.
## **Available Bundles**
The Bundles page currently includes collections such as:
* **Black Friday Booster Kit** — sections built for high-impact sale events
* **Product Conversion Pack** — sections focused on product showcasing and buying decisions
* **Dropify Visual Kit** — layouts suited to dropshipping store aesthetics
* **Dropify Essentials** — core sections for a complete dropshipping storefront
* **Skin care** — sections designed for beauty and skincare brands
* **Etsy** — creative, handmade, aesthetic layouts
* **Countdown** — urgency-focused sections with countdown timers
* **Rotating Bar Kit** — a set of rotating announcement bar variations
* **Hike** — outdoor and adventure brand layouts
* **Rotating bars** — multiple rotating bar styles in one package
New bundles are added to the library periodically.
## **How Bundles Save You Money**
Each bundle's page shows the included sections and their individual prices alongside the bundle price. The bundle is always priced below the total cost of the included sections purchased separately. The more sections in a bundle, the greater the saving.
If you are planning to buy three or more sections, check the Bundles page first. There may be a bundle that includes the sections you want at a lower combined price.
## **What You Get After Purchasing**
After purchasing a bundle:
* Every section in the bundle is unlocked and available to install immediately
* Sections can be installed to any theme in your store, now or in the future
* Each section appears individually in your theme's Theme Editor once installed
* The bundle appears in **My Library > Bundles** tab; individual sections also appear in the Sections tab
# How to Install Email Templates in Shopify
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/email-templates/how-to-install-email-templates-in-shopify
After downloading your email template zip file, extract the HTML files and paste each one into Shopify's Notifications editor. This guide covers the full step-by-step process and tips for testing before going live.
Once you have purchased and downloaded an email template collection, the next step is installing the HTML files into Shopify's notification email editor. This guide walks you through the full process.
## **Before You Begin**
Make sure you have:
* Downloaded the template zip file from the Iconic Sections app (see How to Purchase and Download Email Templates)
* Extracted (unzipped) the zip file on your computer — right-click the file and choose "Extract All" on Windows, or double-click on Mac
After extracting, you will see a folder containing HTML files — one for each email type in the collection (for example: `order-confirmation.html`, `shipping-confirmation.html`, etc.).
## **How to Install Each Template**
Repeat these steps for each notification email you want to update:
1. Open your **Shopify admin** and go to **Settings > Notifications**.
2. Find the notification you want to update — for example, click **Order confirmation** under the Orders section.
3. On the notification detail page, scroll down to the **Email body** section.
4. Click **Edit code** (or switch to HTML view if you see that option instead).
5. Select all the existing code in the editor and delete it.
6. Open the matching HTML file from your extracted template folder in any plain text editor (Notepad, TextEdit, VS Code, etc.).
7. Select all the text in the HTML file (Ctrl+A / Cmd+A) and copy it.
8. Paste the copied HTML into Shopify's email body editor.
9. Click **Save**.
Your notification email now uses the new template design.
## **Customizing Your Brand Details**
After pasting the template, you will want to update a few elements to match your store:
* **Logo** — replace the placeholder logo image with your store's logo URL
* **Brand colors** — if the template uses color variables, update them to your brand palette
* **Contact details** — update any placeholder phone numbers, email addresses, or social media links
* **Store name** — confirm your store name appears correctly throughout
These elements are usually clearly marked in the HTML with comments like `` to make them easy to find.
Use Ctrl+F (Find) in your text editor to search for "placeholder", "logo", or "YOUR" to quickly locate all areas that need your store's details filled in.
## **Sending a Test Email**
Before considering the installation complete, always send a test email:
1. On the notification detail page in Shopify, click **Send test notification** (at the top of the page).
2. Shopify sends a preview of the email to your store's account email address.
3. Check your inbox and review how the email looks in a real email client.
4. Confirm that images load, links work, and the layout displays correctly on both desktop and mobile.
If something looks off, return to the HTML editor and make adjustments before the template goes live to real customers.
Different email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail) can render HTML emails differently. Testing in the email client your customers are most likely to use is good practice.
# How to Purchase and Download Email Templates
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/email-templates/how-to-purchase-and-download-email-templates
Purchase an email template collection from the Email templates page, then download the zip file containing all the HTML template files. Purchased collections are always available to re-download from My Library.
Purchasing an email template collection gives you a downloadable zip file containing professionally designed HTML layouts for your Shopify notification emails. Here is how to buy and download a collection.
## **Step 1: Go to the Email Templates Page**
In the Iconic Sections app, click **Email templates** in the left sidebar.
At the top of the page, you will find a featured tutorial video — watching it first is recommended as it walks through the entire setup process from purchase to installation in Shopify.
## **Step 2: Browse the Collections**
The page displays all available email template collections as cards, each showing:
* A preview image of the collection's design style
* The collection name
* The price
Click on any collection card to open its **details pop-up**, which shows a larger preview and more information about what is included.
## **Step 3: Purchase the Collection**
1. In the collection details pop-up, click **Purchase now**.
2. Shopify's billing prompt appears to show the one-time price.
3. Click **Approve** to confirm the purchase.
The charge is processed through Shopify billing and appears on your regular Shopify invoice. It is a one-time payment — there are no recurring fees.
## **Step 4: Download the Zip File**
After the purchase is confirmed:
1. A **Download** button appears on the collection.
2. Click **Download** to save the zip file to your computer.
3. The download starts immediately — save it to a location you can find easily, such as your Downloads folder or Desktop.
The zip file contains the HTML template files for all email types included in the collection.
After downloading, extract the zip file straight away and store the HTML files in a dedicated folder on your computer. You will need to return to these files whenever you want to apply or update a template in Shopify.
## **Re-Downloading a Purchased Collection**
If you lose the zip file or need to download it again, you can do so at any time:
1. Go to **My Library** in the app.
2. Click the **Emails** tab.
3. Find your purchased collection and click **Download** to get the file again.
Your purchases are always available in My Library — you never lose access after the initial download.
# What Are Email Templates?
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/email-templates/what-are-email-templates
Iconic Sections email templates are professionally designed HTML layouts for Shopify notification emails. Six collections are available — Wellness, Florianne Rose, Beautika, Elegance, Luxe, and Pets — each as a one-time purchase for all plan types.
Every Shopify store sends automated notification emails to customers — order confirmations, shipping updates, refund notices, and more. By default, these emails use Shopify's basic design. Iconic Sections Email Templates let you replace those with professionally designed, brand-consistent HTML layouts that look polished and build customer trust.
## **What Is Included**
Email Templates are professionally crafted HTML designs for Shopify's standard notification email types. Each collection includes multiple template layouts covering the most common customer-facing notification emails your store sends.
After purchasing a collection, you download a zip file containing the HTML files for each email type, then paste the HTML into Shopify's email notification editor to replace the default design.
## **Available Collections**
Six email template collections are currently available, each designed with a distinct visual style:
* **Wellness** — clean, calming aesthetic suited to health, beauty, and lifestyle brands
* **Florianne Rose** — elegant floral-inspired design for fashion, home decor, and gift stores
* **Beautika** — bold, modern look for cosmetics, makeup, and beauty product stores
* **Elegance** — refined, minimalist design for luxury and premium brands
* **Luxe** — sophisticated, high-end aesthetic for jewelry, fashion, and premium products
* **Pets** — playful, warm design for pet supply and pet accessories stores
Each collection is sold as a separate one-time purchase.
## **Who Email Templates Are For**
Email templates are ideal for any store owner who wants their transactional emails to feel as professionally designed as their storefront. If a customer receives a beautifully designed order confirmation email, it reinforces trust and brand consistency from the moment they complete a purchase.
No design skills or coding knowledge is required to use the templates — the HTML is ready-made, and installing them in Shopify is a simple copy-and-paste process.
## **Pricing and Plans**
Email templates are available as one-time purchases to all plan types — Free and Pro. No subscription is required.
To browse the collections, click **Email templates** in the left sidebar of the Iconic Sections app.
# Getting Your First Section Live
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/getting-started/getting-your-first-section-live
The Setup Guide appears on your dashboard after installation and walks you through three steps: watching the intro video, enabling the App Embed, and exploring sections. Complete all three to get your first section live on your store.
When you first install Iconic Sections, the **Setup Guide** appears on your dashboard. It is a short three-step checklist designed to get you from a fresh install to a working section on your store as quickly as possible.
You do not have to complete all three steps in one sitting, but finishing them in order is the fastest path to having sections live on your storefront.
## **Finding the Setup Guide**
The Setup Guide is displayed at the top of the Iconic Sections dashboard — the first page you see when you open the app. It shows a circular progress indicator so you can see how many steps you have completed at a glance.
Each task can be expanded to reveal a description and the action button. Click any task heading to expand it.
## **Step 1: Watch the Introduction**
This short video gives you a visual overview of how Iconic Sections works — how to browse sections, install them, and add them to your store using the Theme Editor. Watching it first saves you time because you will understand the full flow before you start clicking around.
After watching, come back to the dashboard. The task will be marked complete.
## **Step 2: Enable the App Embed**
**What to do:** Click **Enable Iconic Sections** to go directly to the App Embeds section of your Shopify Theme Editor.
This is the most critical step. The App Embed must be enabled before any section will appear on your live storefront. When the Theme Editor opens, find **Iconic Section** in the App Embeds list, toggle it ON, and click Save.
Do not skip this step. If the App Embed is not enabled, sections you install will not display on your store, even after a successful installation.
## **Step 3: Explore Sections**
**What to do:** Click **Explore Sections** to go to the full section library.
Browse the 167+ available sections, use the category filters and search bar to find what fits your store, and try or install your first section. This step is complete as soon as you visit the Sections page.
Use the Free filter tab on the Sections page to see all sections available at no cost — a good way to try the app before making any purchases.
## **After Completing All Three Steps**
Once all three tasks are checked off, the Setup Guide closes automatically. Your dashboard will then show a clean overview of your installed sections, popular sections, and performance highlights.
If you want to dismiss the guide before completing all steps, you can collapse it manually — but completing the App Embed step is strongly recommended before doing so.
# How to Enable App Embed
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/getting-started/how-to-enable-app-embed
The App Embed is a required one-time setup step. Without it, your installed sections will not appear on your storefront. This guide walks you through enabling it in the Shopify Theme Editor in under two minutes.
The App Embed is the most important step after installing Iconic Sections. Until it is enabled, none of your installed sections will appear on your storefront — even after a successful installation. This is a one-time setup that takes under two minutes.
## **What Is an App Embed?**
In Shopify, an App Embed is a small piece of code that apps inject into your theme to load their styles and functionality. For Iconic Sections, the App Embed loads the styles and scripts that make your installed sections display and behave correctly on your store.
Think of it as a light switch — without flipping it on, the sections are installed, but the power is off.
## **How to Enable the App Embed**
1. In your Shopify admin, go to **Online Store** > **Themes**.
2. Find your active theme and click **Customize**.
3. In the Theme Editor, look at the left sidebar and click the **puzzle piece icon** (App Embeds).
4. In the App Embeds list, find **Iconic Section** by Iconic Sections.
5. Click the toggle to turn it **ON** — the toggle should turn blue or green when active.
6. Click **Save** at the top of the Theme Editor.
Your App Embed is now enabled. Sections you install will appear on your storefront as soon as you add them to a page in the Theme Editor.
If you switch to a different theme later, you will need to enable the App Embed again on the new theme. The setting is stored per theme, not per store.
The Iconic Sections dashboard shows a warning banner if your App Embed is not yet enabled. If you see this banner after installing sections, follow the steps above to resolve it.
## **After Enabling**
Once the App Embed is saved, no further action is needed to make it work. You do not need to re-enable it every time you install a new section — one toggle, one save, and it applies to all sections you install on that theme.
If you want to confirm it is working, install a free section, add it to your homepage in the Theme Editor, preview your store, and you should see it appear.
# How to Install
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/getting-started/how-to-install
Install Iconic Sections from the Shopify App Store in a few clicks. The app is free to install and runs entirely inside your Shopify admin — no separate account needed. Once installed, complete the Setup Guide to get your first section live.
Installing Iconic Sections takes just a few minutes. The app is available in the Shopify App Store and installs like any other Shopify app — no technical knowledge required.
## **Before You Begin**
Make sure you are logged in to the Shopify admin for the store you want to install the app on. You will need the Owner or a staff account with app management permissions.
## **Installation Steps**
1. Go to the [Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/iconic-sections) and search for **Iconic Sections**.
2. Click on the Iconic Sections app listing.
3. Click **Add app**.
4. Shopify will show you a list of permissions the app needs to access your store — review them and click **Install**.
5. You will be redirected automatically to the Iconic Sections dashboard inside your Shopify admin.
That's it. The app is now installed and the Free plan is active immediately — no credit card required to get started.
Installing the app does not make any visible changes to your live storefront. Sections only appear on your store after you install and add them through the Theme Editor.
## **What Happens After Installation**
Once you land on the dashboard, you will see the **Setup Guide** — a short three-step checklist that walks you through everything you need to do to get your first section live. It covers watching a quick introduction, enabling the App Embed, and exploring the section library.
Completing the Setup Guide in order is the fastest way to go from installation to a working section on your store.
## **Accessing the App Later**
After installation, you can find Iconic Sections any time by going to your Shopify admin and clicking **Apps** in the left sidebar. The app runs entirely inside Shopify admin — there is no external website or separate login to remember.
Pin the app to your Shopify admin sidebar for quick access. Click the pin icon next to Iconic Sections in the Apps list.
# Introduction
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/getting-started/introduction
Iconic Sections is a Shopify app that gives you 167+ ready-made theme sections, Pro Sections, Conversion Blocks, Bundles, Templates, and Email Templates. Improve your store design and conversions without any coding — everything installs directly from inside Shopify admin.
Iconic Sections is a Shopify app built for store owners who want a professionally designed store without hiring a developer or touching a single line of code. It gives you a library of ready-made components — sections, Pro Sections, blocks, bundles, templates, and email templates — that you install directly into your Shopify theme from inside Shopify admin.
Whether you want to add a stunning hero banner, a testimonials carousel, a product comparison table, or polished transactional emails, Iconic Sections has it ready to go.
## **Who Is Iconic Sections For?**
Iconic Sections is designed for:
* **Store owners** who want to improve their store's design and conversion rate without a developer
* **Entrepreneurs** launching a new store who need professional-looking layouts fast
* **Shopify developers** who want a head start with pre-built, customizable components for client projects
No coding knowledge is required. If you can use the Shopify Theme Editor, you can use Iconic Sections.
## **The Six Product Types**
### **Sections**
Sections are full-width or structured layout components you add to any page of your store — your homepage, product pages, collection pages, landing pages, and more. The library includes 167+ sections across categories like Hero & Banner, Product, Testimonials, FAQ, Gallery, Animated Text, Navigation, Countdown, and many more.
Each section is customizable through Shopify's built-in Theme Editor — no extra tools needed.
### **Pro Sections**
Pro Sections are premium, full-page sections — like Frequently Bought Together and Product Comparison — reserved exclusively for Pro subscribers. Unlike regular sections, they cannot be unlocked with a one-time purchase; access depends entirely on an active Pro Monthly or Pro Annual subscription.
### **Conversion Blocks**
Conversion Blocks are smaller components designed specifically for product pages. They add urgency signals, social proof, trust badges, countdown timers, and more to increase sales on your product listings. Conversion Blocks are available on the Pro plan.
### **Bundles**
Bundles are curated collections of multiple sections sold together at a discounted price. If you need several sections for a specific purpose — a Black Friday campaign, a dropshipping store, or a launch landing page — a bundle gives you everything at once for less than buying sections individually.
### **Templates**
Templates are complete, ready-to-launch pages built from 10-12 curated sections for a specific store niche — such as women's clothing, skin care, or coffee. Instead of adding sections one at a time, installing a template adds every section already arranged into a finished page in one click, so you only need to edit the content.
### **Email Templates**
Email Templates are professionally designed HTML layouts for Shopify's notification emails — order confirmations, shipping updates, and more. Six collections are available, each with a distinct visual style to match your brand.
## **Plans at a Glance**
Iconic Sections has two plan types:
* **Free plan** — install the app at no cost and purchase individual sections with a one-time payment; no recurring fees
* **Pro plan** — $9/month or $81/year. Unlocks all paid sections plus Conversion Blocks, Section Analytics, and priority support
## **How the App Works Inside Shopify**
Iconic Sections lives entirely inside your Shopify admin — there is no separate account, dashboard, or login to manage. You access it through the Apps section of your Shopify admin, just like any other Shopify app.
Once installed, you browse the section library, install sections to your theme, and customize them using Shopify's native Theme Editor. Your store visitors never see or interact with the app — only the sections you choose to display.
Before any section will appear on your storefront, you must enable the Iconic Sections App Embed in your Shopify Theme Editor. This is a one-time setup step. Start there after installing the app.
# Plans and Pricing
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/getting-started/plans-and-pricing
Iconic Sections offers a Free plan and a Pro plan at $9/month or $81/year. This doc explains what each plan includes — sections, Conversion Blocks, Analytics, and more — to help you choose the right one for your store.
Iconic Sections offers plan options to suit different store sizes and needs — from a completely free entry point to an all-inclusive Pro subscription. Here is everything you need to know to choose the right plan.

## **Free Plan**
The Free plan costs nothing and gives you immediate access to all free sections in the library. Paid sections are available as individual one-time purchases — you pay once per section and own it permanently with no recurring fees.
**Best for:** Stores that want to try the app or only need a small number of specific sections.
**Limitation:** No Conversion Blocks and no Section Analytics.
## **Pro Monthly — \$9/month**
The Pro plan gives you unlimited access to all paid sections, plus every Pro-exclusive feature: Conversion Blocks, Section Analytics, the Product Comparison Table, custom section requests, a free store consultation, and priority support. Billed monthly through Shopify.
**Best for:** Stores actively growing their design and wanting access to the full library without paying per section.
Pro Annual saves you approximately 25% compared to paying month-by-month — see below.
## **Pro Annual — \$81/year**
The same full Pro feature set as the monthly plan, billed once per year. At $81/year, this works out to $6.75/month — a saving of over \$27 compared to the monthly plan over a full year.
**Best for:** Stores committed to using the app long-term who want to save on their annual costs.
## **How to Subscribe**
Go to the **Pricing** page in the app (left sidebar > Pricing). Use the Monthly / Annual toggle to switch between billing cycles, then click **Get Pro** to start a subscription.
All billing is processed through Shopify — charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice, not on a separate payment processor.

# Managing Your Sections, Bundles, Templates, and Emails
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/my-library/managing-your-sections-bundles-and-emails
My Library is your central hub for everything you have installed or purchased. Use it to view sections, bundles, templates, and emails across four tabs — with All, Installed, and Purchased filters — and manage installations across your themes.
My Library is the central page in Iconic Sections for managing everything you have ever installed or purchased. Whether you want to reinstall a section on a new theme, check what you own, or uninstall sections you no longer use, My Library is where you do it.
## **How to Access My Library**
Click **My Library** in the left sidebar of the Iconic Sections app. The page loads with four tabs across the top.
## **The Four Tabs**
### **Sections Tab**
The Sections tab shows every section associated with your store — sections you have installed on a theme, sections you have purchased, and any free sections you have downloaded.
### **Bundles Tab**
The Bundles tab shows every bundle you have purchased. Click on a bundle to see which sections it contains and to reinstall it to a theme.
### **Templates Tab**
The Templates tab shows every template you have purchased. Click on a template to see its included sections and to reinstall the full page to another theme.
### **Emails Tab**
The Emails tab shows every email template collection you have purchased, with a Download button to re-download the zip file at any time.
## **Filtering Your Library**
Each tab has three filter options at the top-right:
* **All** — shows everything in that category (installed and purchased)
* **Installed** — shows only sections currently installed on at least one of your themes
* **Purchased** — shows only sections or bundles that were one-time purchases
Use these filters to quickly find what you are looking for, especially if your library grows large.
## **Actions Available in My Library**
From My Library, you can:
* **Reinstall a section** — add a previously installed or purchased section to a different or new theme at no cost
* **Update a section** — apply the latest version of a section to your theme
* **Uninstall a section** — remove a section from a specific theme
* **Re-download email templates** — download a purchased email collection again at no cost
## **Uninstalling All Sections at Once**
The **Uninstall sections** button in the top-right corner of My Library removes all Iconic Sections sections from your current theme in a single action.
This action is not easily reversible. Use it only if you intend to remove all sections — for example, before switching themes entirely. You can reinstall individual sections from My Library afterward, but you will need to re-add them to pages in the Theme Editor one by one.
## **Exploring More Sections**
The **Explore all theme sections** button in My Library links directly to the Sections page so you can browse and add more sections to your library at any time.
# How to Browse and Install Pro Sections
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/pro-sections/how-to-browse-and-install-pro-sections
Browse the Pro Sections catalog from the Pro Sections page, then install a section to your theme and place it on any page in the Shopify Theme Editor. A Pro subscription is required — Pro Sections cannot be unlocked with a one-time purchase.
Pro Sections are premium, full-page sections available only to Pro subscribers. This guide shows you how to browse the catalog and get a Pro Section live on your store.
## **Before You Begin**
Pro Sections require an active **Pro subscription** (Monthly at $9/month or Annual at $81/year). There is no one-time purchase option for Pro Sections. If you are not yet on Pro, go to the **Pricing** page in the app to upgrade. See [What Are Pro Sections?](/pro-sections/what-are-pro-sections) for a full explanation of the Pro requirement.
## **Navigating to the Pro Sections Page**
Click **Pro Sections** in the left sidebar of the Iconic Sections app. The page opens with a heading confirming these are premium sections available exclusively to Pro users, followed by the catalog displayed as cards.
## **Reading Pro Section Cards**
Each card in the catalog shows a preview image of the section and its name, such as **Frequently Bought Together** or **Product Comparison**. Click any card to open its details and preview.
## **Installing a Pro Section**
Once you are on the Pro plan:
1. On the Pro Sections page, click the section you want to install.
2. Select the theme you want to install it to.
3. Confirm the installation.
If you are on the Free plan, the card will show a **Subscribe to unlock** option instead of an install button — upgrading to Pro is required before you can install any Pro Section.
## **Adding the Section to a Page**
Installing a Pro Section adds it to your theme, but you still need to place it on a page using the Shopify Theme Editor, just like a regular section:
1. Go to **Online Store > Themes > Customize** in Shopify admin.
2. Navigate to the page where you want the section to appear — Frequently Bought Together and Product Comparison are both commonly added to product pages.
3. Click **Add section** in the left sidebar.
4. Find the Pro Section by name in the list and click to add it.
5. Customize the content and settings in the right-hand panel.
6. Click **Save**.
Add Frequently Bought Together and Product Comparison to your best-selling products first — these are the pages where a small increase in average order value has the biggest impact.
# What Are Pro Sections?
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/pro-sections/what-are-pro-sections
Pro Sections are premium, full-page sections — like Frequently Bought Together and Product Comparison — available exclusively to Pro Monthly or Pro Annual subscribers. Unlike regular sections, they cannot be unlocked with a one-time purchase.
Pro Sections are a separate, premium tier of the section library reserved for Iconic Sections Pro subscribers. They install and work exactly like regular sections — full components you add to your theme and place on any page — but access to them is tied entirely to an active Pro subscription.
## **How Pro Sections Differ From Regular Sections**
| | Regular Sections | Pro Sections |
| ------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------- |
| Where they go | Any page | Any page |
| Access on Free plan | Free sections included; paid sections available | Not available |
| Access on Pro plan | All included | All included |
| One-time purchase option | Yes, for individual paid sections | Not available — subscription only |
Regular sections give Free-plan store owners a path to owning individual sections outright. Pro Sections skip that path entirely — they exist specifically as a reason to subscribe, and are never sold individually.
## **What Pro Sections Are Available**
The Pro Sections catalog currently includes:
* **Frequently Bought Together** — a cross-sell section that shows complementary products bundled with your item at a discount, with checkboxes to select which items to include and a running total price
* **Product Comparison** — a side-by-side comparison table for similar products, showing price, ratings, and key specs so shoppers can decide with confidence
New Pro Sections are added to the catalog periodically, in the same way new regular sections are.
## **Pro Plan Required**
Pro Sections require an active **Pro Monthly** (09/month) or **Pro Annually** (81/year) subscription. There is no way to purchase an individual Pro Section outright — access is entirely tied to your subscription status.
If you downgrade from Pro to Free, Pro Sections stop displaying on your store, the same way Conversion Blocks do. See [What Happens When You Downgrade from Pro to Free](/billing/how-to-upgrade-or-downgrade-your-plan) for details.
Pro Sections like Frequently Bought Together and Product Comparison are built specifically to increase average order value — they often pay for the Pro subscription on their own once installed on your highest-traffic product pages.
## **Where to Find Pro Sections**
In the Iconic Sections app, click **Pro Sections** in the left sidebar. The Pro Sections page shows the full catalog as cards, ready to browse.
# How to Browse and Filter Sections
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/sections/how-to-browse-and-filter-sections
The Sections page gives you search, category filters, and sorting tools to find the right section fast. Browse 167+ sections by keyword, category, price, or popularity — and click any card to open a full preview and details.
The Sections page is your main library for discovering and installing sections. With 167+ options available, the search and filter tools make it easy to find exactly what you need without scrolling through everything.
## **Getting to the Sections Page**
In the Iconic Sections app, click **Sections** in the left sidebar. The full library loads with all available sections displayed as cards.
## **Searching by Keyword**
At the top of the Sections page is a search bar. Type any keyword — such as "hero", "testimonials", "countdown", or "FAQ" — to filter results in real time. The search matches against section names and tags.
## **Using the Quick Filter Tabs**
Just below the search bar, you will find quick filter tabs:
* **Trending** — sections that are most popular with other store owners right now
* **Newest** — recently added sections, so you can stay up to date
* **Free** — sections available at no cost; great for exploring before committing to any purchases
Click any tab to apply that filter. Click it again or click **All** to reset.
## **Filtering by Category**
Iconic Sections organizes its library into categories. You will see a horizontal row of category tags below the quick filter tabs:
* Scroll the row left and right to see all available categories
* Click a category tag to filter the library to sections in that category only
* Common categories include: Hero, Banner, Product, Collection, FAQ, Testimonials, Gallery, Navigation, Animation, Countdown, Rotating Bar, and many more
To see every category at once, click **Show Filters** — this expands a full filter panel listing all categories with their section counts.
## **Filtering by Price**
Click the **Pricing** button (next to Show Filters) to filter sections by:
* **Free** — sections with no purchase required
* **Paid** — premium sections available via one-time purchase or Pro subscription
## **Sorting Sections**
You can change the order sections appear in the grid. Sorting options include most popular, newest first, and trending. This is useful when you want to see what is new or what other merchants are installing most.
## **Reading Section Cards**
Each section in the library is displayed as a card with:
* A **preview image** showing what the section looks like
* The **section name**
* The **installation count** — how many stores have installed it
* The **price** — shown as a dollar amount for paid sections, or "Free" for no-cost sections
Click any card to open the **Section Details popup**, which includes a full description, a list of compatible page types, a link to the live demo, and the install or try options.
Use the Free filter to explore sections without spending anything. Many high-quality sections are available at no cost, and you can try any paid section on a development theme before purchasing.
# How to Install a Section
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/sections/how-to-install-a-section
Installing a section takes a few clicks — open its details, purchase if needed, select your theme, and install. Then add it to a page in the Shopify Theme Editor. This guide covers the full process for both free and paid sections.
Installing a section from Iconic Sections is a straightforward process. This guide walks you through each step — from finding a section to seeing it live on your store.
## **Before You Begin**
Make sure the **App Embed is enabled** on your theme. Without it, sections will install but will not appear on your storefront. If you have not done this yet, follow the Enabling the App Embed guide first.
## **Step-by-Step: Installing a Free Section**
1. Go to the **Sections** page in the Iconic Sections app.
2. Browse or search for the section you want, then click its card to open the **Section Details pop-up**.
3. Click **Add section to any theme**.
4. A dropdown appears — select the theme you want to install the section in.
5. Click **Install** to confirm.
The section files are now added to your selected theme.
## **Step-by-Step: Installing a Paid Section**
1. Go to the **Sections** page and click a paid section to open its details.
2. Click **Purchase now**.
3. Shopify's billing prompt appears, showing the one-time price — review it and click **Approve** to confirm the charge.
4. After payment, select the theme from the dropdown.
5. Click **Install**.
The section is now purchased and installed. You own it permanently — no recurring charge.
One-time section purchases are non-refundable. Use the Try Before You Buy feature to preview a paid section on a development theme before purchasing.
## **Adding the Section to a Page**
Installing a section adds its files to your theme, but it does not automatically place it on any page. You need to add it through the Shopify Theme Editor:
1. In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes** and click **Customize** on your active theme.
2. Navigate to the page where you want to place the section (homepage, a specific collection page, a custom page, etc.).
3. In the left sidebar, click **Add section**.
4. Scroll through the list or search by name to find your newly installed section.
5. Click it to add it to the page.
6. Customize the content, colors, and settings in the right-hand panel.
7. Click **Save**.
Your section is now live on that page.
## **Installing on Multiple Themes**
A section installed on one theme is not automatically available on other themes. If you want the same section on a different theme:
1. Go to **My Library** in the app.
2. Find the section and select **Install to another theme**.
3. Choose the target theme from the dropdown and confirm.
Since you already own the section, there is no additional charge.
If you manage multiple themes — for example, a live theme and a development copy — install sections on each theme separately through My Library.
# How to Remove or Uninstall a Section
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/sections/how-to-remove-or-uninstall-a-section
There are two ways to remove a section: hide it from a page in the Theme Editor, or fully uninstall it from your theme via My Library. This guide explains both methods and what happens to your purchases afterward.
There are two ways to remove a section from your store, and the method you choose depends on whether you want to temporarily hide it or permanently remove its files from your theme.
## **Method 1: Remove from a Page (Theme Editor)**
This method hides the section from a specific page without deleting its files from your theme. The section remains installed and can be re-added to any page at any time.
1. In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes** and click **Customize** on your active theme.
2. Navigate to the page where the section is placed.
3. In the left sidebar, click on the section you want to remove.
4. Click the **trash icon** (delete) that appears in the section controls.
5. Click **Save**.
The section is removed from that page. Its files remain in your theme, and it is still visible in My Library.
Use this method if you want to temporarily remove a section from your storefront without losing access to it for future use.
## **Method 2: Uninstall from the App (My Library)**
This method removes the section's files from your theme entirely. Use this if you are certain you no longer want the section on a particular theme.
1. In the Iconic Sections app, click **My Library** in the left sidebar.
2. Go to the **Sections** tab.
3. Find the section you want to uninstall.
4. Click **Uninstall** (or use the three-dot menu and select Uninstall).
5. Select the theme to uninstall from.
6. Confirm the action.
The section files are removed from the selected theme. It will no longer appear in that theme's Theme Editor.
Uninstalling from the app removes the section from a specific theme only. If the same section is installed on other themes, those installations are unaffected.
## **Uninstalling All Sections at Once**
If you want to remove every section from your theme in one action:
1. Go to **My Library**.
2. Click the **Uninstall sections** button in the top-right corner.
3. Confirm the action.
All Iconic Sections sections are removed from your current theme at once.
Use this option carefully. It removes all sections from the theme in a single step and cannot be undone without reinstalling each section individually.
## **What Happens to Your Purchases**
Uninstalling a section does **not** affect your purchase history. If you paid for a section (one-time purchase) or have a Pro subscription, you retain full access to reinstall it at any time from My Library — at no additional charge. Your ownership of a section is permanent and independent of whether it is currently installed on a theme.
# How to Update Sections
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/sections/how-to-update-sections
Iconic Sections regularly releases improvements to existing sections. When an update is available, you can apply it from My Library with a few clicks. Your content and Theme Editor settings are preserved during updates.
Iconic Sections regularly improves and updates its sections — fixing issues, adding new customization options, and enhancing performance. When an update is available for a section you have installed, you can apply it quickly from My Library.
## **How to Check for Updates**
1. In the Iconic Sections app, click **My Library** in the left sidebar.
2. Go to the **Sections** tab.
3. Look for sections marked with an **"Update available"** indicator — this appears as a badge or label on the section card.
If no sections show an update indicator, all your installed sections are already on the latest version.
## **How to Apply an Update**
1. In My Library > Sections, find the section with the update indicator.
2. Click the **Update** button on that section card.
3. A dropdown appears — select the theme you want to update the section on.
4. Confirm the update.
The updated version replaces the previous one in your selected theme. The process takes a few seconds.
If you have the same section installed on multiple themes, you need to update it on each theme separately.
## **What Happens to Your Customizations**
Updating a section does **not** reset the content you have entered in the Theme Editor. Your text, images, colors, and layout settings are preserved through the update wherever possible.
If you or a developer have made direct edits to a section's theme files (the .liquid or .json files) rather than using the Theme Editor controls, those manual changes may be overwritten by an update. In that case, you will need to re-apply any custom file edits after updating.
## **Pro Plan and New Section Access**
If you are on the Pro plan, you have access to all sections in the library — including any new sections added after your subscription started. New sections appear in the library automatically and do not require a separate update step; you simply install them like any other section.
Updates to existing sections are a separate process from new section releases. Both are included in the Pro plan at no extra charge.
Check My Library periodically to stay current. Updated sections often include new customization options or improved compatibility with recent Shopify theme updates.
# Preview Sections Before Purchasing
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/sections/preview-sections-before-purchasing
The Try Section feature lets you preview any section — free or paid — on a development theme before purchasing. See exactly how it looks on your store without affecting your live site or spending any money.
Not sure if a section is right for your store? The **Try Section** feature lets you preview any section live on your store before committing to a purchase. You get to see exactly how it looks and behaves in your actual theme — not just a generic demo — at no cost.
## **How Try Before You Buy Works**
When you use the Try Section feature, Iconic Sections installs a preview version of the section onto a **development theme** (a non-published copy of your theme). The preview opens automatically in the Shopify Theme Editor so you can interact with it straight away.
Your live, published storefront is never affected — visitors to your store cannot see the preview, and nothing changes on your live site until you choose to purchase and install the section there.
## **What You Need**
You need at least one **development theme** (also called a duplicate or unpublished theme) in your Shopify account. If you only have your published live theme, create a duplicate first:
1. In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes**.
2. Find your active theme and click the three-dot menu.
3. Click **Duplicate** — this creates an unpublished copy instantly.
That duplicate is your development theme and will be used for the section preview.
## **How to Try a Section**
1. Go to the **Sections** page in the Iconic Sections app.
2. Click on any section card to open the **Section Details pop-up**.
3. Click **Try in your theme** (or the try/sample option shown in the popup).
4. The app loads the section onto your development theme and opens the Shopify Theme Editor automatically.
5. You will land inside the Theme Editor with the section visible — browse its layout, adjust settings, and see how it looks with your store's content.
The try mode version of the section may include a watermark or limitation to indicate it is a preview. These are removed when you purchase and install the full version.
## **After Previewing**
* **If you want to use the section:** go back to the Iconic Sections app, open the section details, and click **Purchase now** (for paid sections) or **Add section to any theme** (for free sections). Then install it to your published theme through the normal installation flow.
* **If it is not the right fit:** simply close the Theme Editor and continue browsing. The preview is removed automatically — nothing is left on your development theme permanently.
Use the Try feature on a few sections before settling on one. Since it costs nothing and does not affect your live store, there is no reason not to preview as many sections as you like.
# Section Categories Overview

# How to Browse and Filter Templates
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/templates/how-to-browse-and-filter-templates
The Templates page shows every ready-to-launch template as a card with a preview, category, and price. Use the search bar and filters to find a template for your store's niche, or request a custom one if nothing fits yet.
The Templates page is where you discover complete, ready-to-launch page designs for your store's niche. Here's how to find the right one.
## **Getting to the Templates Page**
In the Iconic Sections app, click **Templates** in the left sidebar. The page loads with all available templates displayed as cards, along with a **Read documentation** link in the top-right corner for more detail.
## **Searching by Name**
At the top of the page is a search bar. Type a template name or keyword to filter the results in real time.
## **Using Show Filters**
Click **Show filters** next to the search bar to open the full filter panel and narrow templates by category or niche.
## **Reading Template Cards**
Each template is shown as a card with:
* A **preview image** of the full page design
* The **template name** (e.g. Women clothing, Skin care)
* The **category** it belongs to (e.g. Fashion & Apparel, Health & Beauty, Food & Beverage)
* The **price** — for discounted templates, the original price appears with a strikethrough next to the current price
* An **Upcoming** badge instead of a price, for templates that are still in development
Click any card to open the **Template Details pop-up**, which shows the full preview, the sections included, and the install options. See [How to Purchase and Install a Template](/templates/how-to-purchase-and-install-a-template) for what happens next.
## **Requesting a Template That Doesn't Exist Yet**
If you don't see a template for your store's niche, the last card on the Templates page is always **Request a Template**. Click it to submit what you're looking for — see [Requesting a Custom Template](/templates/requesting-a-custom-template).
Templates marked **Upcoming** are already in development. Check back on the Templates page periodically, or submit a request for your niche if you don't want to wait.
# How to Purchase and Install a Template
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/templates/how-to-purchase-and-install-a-template
Open a template, review its sections and demo, purchase it as a one-time charge or subscription, then install it to your chosen theme. All 10-12 sections are added and arranged as a complete page in one click — you only need to edit the content.
Installing a template gives you a complete, ready-to-launch page in one click. This guide walks through the full process from browsing to editing your live page.
## **Step 1: Open a Template**
1. In the Iconic Sections app, click **Templates** in the left sidebar.
2. Click any template card to open the **Template Details pop-up**.
## **Step 2: Review the Template**
The Template Details pop-up shows everything you need to decide if the template fits your store:
* A live install counter (e.g. "15+ installs in last 24h") showing how popular the template currently is
* **View Demo** — opens a live preview of the full page so you can see it in action before buying
* **What it does** — a summary of what the template achieves for your store
* **Best for** — the store types and brands the template is best suited to
* **Includes sections like** — tags listing the section types bundled into the template (for example: Hero Banner, Featured Products, Collection Grid, Countdown Offer, Category Showcase, Brand Benefits, Promotional Banners, Customer Reviews, Instagram Feed, FAQ Section, Lifestyle Gallery, Social Proof)
* **Sections included in this template** — the full list of individual sections, each with its own preview image, so you know exactly what will be added to your page
Click **View Demo** if you want to see the finished page live before purchasing.
## **Step 3: Choose Your Pricing Option**
Each template lists how it's sold:
* **One-time charge (use forever)** — a single payment, no recurring fees
* **Recurring subscription (cancel anytime)** — a subscription that renews until you cancel
A template will offer one of these two options. Shopify's billing prompt will reflect whichever applies to the template you're purchasing.
## **Step 4: Select a Theme and Install**
1. In the Template Details pop-up, use the **Select theme** dropdown to choose which theme to install the template to.
2. Click **Install**.
3. Approve the Shopify billing prompt if you haven't purchased the template yet.
All sections in the template are installed to your selected theme and arranged into a complete page at once — there is no need to add each section to the page individually.
## **Step 5: Customize the Content**
Since the template arrives already built and arranged, all that's left is to make it yours:
1. Go to **Online Store > Themes > Customize** in Shopify admin.
2. Open the page the template was installed to.
3. Click into each section and replace the placeholder text, images, and products with your own content using the settings panel on the right.
4. Click **Save**.
Work through the page top to bottom the first time, replacing images and copy as you go. Because the layout and section order are already done for you, most of the work is just filling in your own content.
## **Reinstalling on a Different Theme**
If you purchased a template, it's yours permanently. To add it to another theme later:
1. Go to **My Library** in the app.
2. Find the template under the **Templates** tab.
3. Choose the new theme and install it again at no extra cost.
# Requesting a Custom Template
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/templates/requesting-a-custom-template
Can't find a template for your store's niche? Submit a request directly from the Templates page with your template type, category, and requirements, or message support — your idea could become the next available template.
New template niches are added regularly, but if yours isn't available yet, you don't have to wait — you can request it directly.
## **Where to Request a Template**
On the **Templates** page, the last card is always **Request a Template**, alongside every available and upcoming template. Click it to open the request form.
## **Submitting a Request**
The request form asks for:
* **Template type** — what kind of template you're looking for
* **Category / niche** — the industry or store type it's for (e.g. pet supplies, jewelry, fitness)
* **What do you need** — a description of the page and sections you're hoping for
* **Any additional details** — anything else that helps clarify your request, such as reference stores or a preferred visual style
Fill in as much detail as you can, then click **Submit Your Request**.
## **Alternative: Message Support Directly**
If you'd rather explain your request in your own words, click **Message us** below the request form to reach the Iconic Sections team directly instead of filling in the structured form.
The more specific you are — niche, must-have sections, and any style references — the easier it is for the team to build a template that fits what you actually need.
## **What Happens Next**
Submitted requests are reviewed for future template development. Popular or well-defined requests are the most likely to be turned into a new template on the Templates page, initially appearing with an **Upcoming** badge before becoming available to install.
# What Are Templates?
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/templates/what-are-templates
Templates are complete, ready-to-launch page designs built from 10-12 curated sections for a specific store niche. Install a template to your theme in one click, then customize the content — no need to add or arrange sections yourself.
Templates are professionally designed, complete page layouts built for a specific type of store — women's clothing, skin care, coffee, and more. Instead of picking sections one at a time and arranging them yourself, a template gives you a full, ready-to-launch page in a single install. You only need to swap in your own images and text.
## **How Templates Work**
Each template is a curated combination of 10 to 12 sections, pre-arranged in an order designed to convert — a hero banner, featured products, collection grid, social proof, FAQs, and more, all built around one niche and visual style. When you install a template, every section is added to your chosen theme at once and already placed on the page, ready to edit.
This is different from installing sections individually: with a template, the layout, ordering, and styling decisions are already made for you. You add content, not structure.
## **Templates vs. Sections and Bundles**
* **Sections** are single, standalone components you add and position yourself, one at a time, anywhere on any page.
* **Bundles** are a set of related sections sold together at a discount, but you still add each one to a page yourself in the Theme Editor.
* **Templates** are a complete page — all included sections are installed and arranged together in one click, so the page is ready to go as soon as installation finishes.
Templates are the fastest way to get a professional, finished-looking page live on your store.
## **Available Template Categories**
Templates are organized by store niche, such as:
* **Fashion & Apparel** — e.g. Women Clothing
* **Health & Beauty** — e.g. Skin Care
* **Food & Beverage** — e.g. Coffee
New template categories are added regularly. If you don't see a template for your niche yet, you can submit a request — see [Requesting a Custom Template](/templates/requesting-a-custom-template).
## **Pricing Options**
Templates are sold in one of two ways, shown on each template's details pop-up:
* **One-time charge** — pay once and use the template forever, with no recurring fees
* **Recurring subscription** — a subscription price that can be cancelled at any time
Check the pricing option listed on the specific template you want before purchasing, as this can vary by template.
## **What You Get After Installing**
After installing a template:
* All of its sections are added to your chosen theme, already arranged into a complete page
* Each section can still be customized individually through the Shopify Theme Editor, just like any other section
* The template — and every section within it — appears in **My Library** for reinstalling on another theme later
# Sections Not Showing on Store? Fix It Now
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/troubleshooting/sections-not-showing-on-store-fix-it-now
Installed sections not appearing on your store is almost always caused by the App Embed not being enabled. This guide walks through that fix first, then covers other common causes, including wrong theme selection and browser cache.
You have installed a section, but it is not appearing on your Shopify storefront. This is one of the most common questions, and in most cases, it has a quick fix. Work through the causes below in order.
## **Cause 1: App Embed Is Not Enabled (Most Common)**
If your sections are installed but invisible on your storefront, the App Embed is almost certainly the reason. The App Embed is a required one-time toggle that must be enabled in your theme before any section will appear.
**How to fix it:**
1. In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes**.
2. Click **Customize** on your currently published theme.
3. In the Theme Editor, click the **puzzle piece icon** (App Embeds) in the left sidebar.
4. Find the **Iconic Section** and confirm the toggle is turned **ON**.
5. If it is off, toggle it ON.
6. Click **Save**.
7. Refresh your storefront.
If the App Embed was already enabled and the section is still not showing, continue to the next causes below.
## **Cause 2: Section Not Added to a Page**
Installing a section adds its files to your theme but does not automatically place it on any page. You still need to add it manually in the Theme Editor.
**How to fix it:**
1. Go to **Online Store > Themes > Customize** in Shopify admin.
2. Navigate to the page where you want the section to appear.
3. Click **Add section** in the left sidebar.
4. Find the section by name and click to add it.
5. Configure the section's settings and click **Save**.
## **Cause 3: Section Installed on the Wrong Theme**
Your section may have been installed on a different theme than the one currently published on your live store.
**How to fix it:**
1. Go to **My Library** in the Iconic Sections app.
2. Find the section and check whether it is listed as Installed.
3. If it is not installed on your published theme, use the install option to add it to the correct theme.
To check which theme is published: in Shopify admin > Online Store > Themes, the published theme is labeled **Current theme**.
## **Cause 4: Section Is Hidden in the Theme Editor**
The section may be installed on the right theme and added to the right page but set to hidden in the Theme Editor.
**How to fix it:**
1. Open the Theme Editor and navigate to the page.
2. Look at the section in the left sidebar — a hidden section shows a closed eye icon.
3. Click the eye icon to make it visible.
4. Click **Save**.
## **Cause 5: Browser Cache**
Your browser may be showing a cached version of your store from before the section was installed.
**How to fix it:** Hard-refresh your storefront by pressing **Ctrl+Shift+R** (Windows) or **Cmd+Shift+R** (Mac). This forces your browser to reload the page fresh from the server.
After enabling the App Embed, always save the theme in the Theme Editor before refreshing your storefront. If you navigate away before saving, the App Embed toggle reverts to its previous state.
# Theme Compatibility
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/troubleshooting/theme-compatibility
Iconic Sections works with all Online Store 2.0 themes and most third-party themes. Legacy themes (pre-2021) have one limitation: sections cannot be added to product pages. This guide covers compatibility and how to check your theme.
Iconic Sections is designed to work with the vast majority of Shopify themes. This guide explains what is supported, what limitations exist for older themes, and how to check your theme's compatibility.
## **Online Store 2.0 Themes (Fully Compatible)**
All **Online Store 2.0 (OS 2.0)** themes are fully supported. OS 2.0 is Shopify's theme architecture introduced in 2021. It powers all modern Shopify themes, including:
* **Dawn** — Shopify's free default theme
* **Sense**, **Craft**, **Crave**, **Origin**, **Refresh**, **Colorblock** — other free Shopify themes
* Most premium themes released after 2021 from the Shopify Theme Store
OS 2.0 themes support Shopify's full App Blocks system, which is how Iconic Sections delivers both sections and Conversion Blocks.
## **Third-Party Themes**
Most third-party themes from the Shopify Theme Store are compatible with Iconic Sections. Premium themes from popular developers generally follow Shopify's standards and work without any issues.
If you use a premium third-party theme and experience a problem, the most common cause is the App Embed not being enabled for that specific theme.
## **Legacy Themes (Pre-2021)**
Legacy themes — themes built before Shopify's OS 2.0 update — are compatible with Iconic Sections with one known limitation:
**Sections cannot be added to product pages on legacy themes.**
This is a Shopify platform limitation, not a restriction imposed by Iconic Sections. Legacy themes use an older product page architecture that does not support Shopify's App Blocks. All other page types (homepage, collection pages, custom pages, etc.) work normally with legacy themes.
**If you are on a legacy theme and need product page enhancements**, two options are available:
1. **Upgrade to an OS 2.0 theme** — this removes the limitation entirely and gives you full compatibility
2. **Use Conversion Blocks (Pro plan)** — Conversion Blocks are specifically designed for product pages and use a different integration method that works with more theme types
## **How to Check If Your Theme Is OS 2.0**
**Option 1:** In Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Themes**. Click **Customize** on your active theme. If you can navigate to any page (product, collection, homepage) from within the Theme Editor and add sections to each, your theme is OS 2.0.
**Option 2:** Check the theme's listing in the Shopify Theme Store. OS 2.0 themes are labeled with "Sections everywhere" in their feature list.
**Option 3:** Look at when your theme was last updated. Themes with major updates after mid-2021 are almost certainly OS 2.0.
## **Custom Themes**
If you have a custom-built theme (developed by an agency or freelancer), compatibility depends on whether the theme was built to Shopify's standard section schema guidelines. Most properly built custom themes are compatible. If you experience issues with a custom theme, contact the Iconic Sections support team at [arhamwebworks.com/contact](https://arhamwebworks.com/contact/) with your store URL for assistance.
# Troubleshooting Unexpected Issues
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/troubleshooting/troubleshooting-unexpected-issues
If something is not working as expected in Iconic Sections, work through this general troubleshooting checklist — refresh, check the App Embed, verify your theme, clear cache, and try reinstalling — before contacting support.
If something is not working as expected in Iconic Sections, start here. Most issues are resolved by working through the checklist below before contacting support. These steps cover the most common root causes for unexpected behavior.
## **Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Checklist**
### **Step 1: Refresh the App**
Close and reopen the Iconic Sections app in your Shopify admin. A simple refresh resolves many temporary display issues and loading errors within the app interface.
### **Step 2: Confirm the App Embed Is Enabled**
Go to **Online Store > Themes > Customize > App Embeds** and confirm the **Iconic Section** toggle is ON and that the theme has been saved after enabling it. This is the most common cause of section display problems.
### **Step 3: Confirm the Section Is on the Published Theme**
Make sure the section is installed on the theme that is currently **published** (live) on your store. Sections installed on an unpublished draft or development theme will not appear to your store visitors.
To check: in Shopify admin > Online Store > Themes, the active theme is labeled **Current theme**. Go to My Library and confirm the section is installed there.
### **Step 4: Clear Your Browser Cache**
Your browser may be serving a cached version of your store that does not reflect the latest changes.
Hard-refresh your storefront: press **Ctrl+Shift+R** (Windows/Chrome) or **Cmd+Shift+R** (Mac). This forces the browser to load the page fresh from the server.
### **Step 5: Try a Different Browser**
If the issue is visible in the Theme Editor or app interface, open the app in a different browser (for example, switch from Chrome to Firefox or Safari) to rule out a browser-specific conflict. Private/incognito mode in the same browser can also help bypass cache and extension conflicts.
### **Step 6: Reinstall the Section**
If a specific section is behaving unexpectedly:
1. Go to **My Library**.
2. Uninstall the section from the affected theme.
3. Reinstall it from My Library.
4. Re-add it to the page in the Theme Editor and save.
A clean reinstall resolves many cases where a section's files became partially corrupted or out of sync during a previous installation.
## **If the Issue Persists: Contact Support**
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, the Iconic Sections support team is ready to help:
* **Live chat:** Click the **chat icon** in the bottom corner of the Iconic Sections app to start a live chat session
* **Contact form:** [arhamwebworks.com/contact](https://arhamwebworks.com/contact/)
When contacting support, include the following to get a faster resolution:
* Your **store URL** (e.g., [yourstore.myshopify.com](http://yourstore.myshopify.com))
* The **section name** that is causing the issue
* A brief description of **what you expected to happen** and **what is actually happening**
* Any **error messages** you see (screenshots are helpful)
* The **theme name** you are using
## **Common Causes the Support Team Investigates**
Some issues are caused by factors outside the standard checklist:
* **Conflicting third-party apps** — other apps that modify theme files or inject scripts can occasionally interfere with sections. The support team can help identify conflicts.
* **Custom theme code** — if your theme has been modified by a developer, custom code may affect how sections render.
* **Browser extensions** — ad blockers or privacy extensions can sometimes block section scripts from loading. Disable extensions temporarily to test if this is the cause.
# Why Is My Section Appearing on Every Page?
Source: https://docs.iconicsections.com/troubleshooting/why-is-my-section-appearing-on-every-page
Sections appear on all pages when they are added to a shared global template. Fix this by adding the section only while viewing the specific page's template in the Theme Editor, or by creating a page-specific template.
You added a section to your store, but now it is showing up on every page — not just the one you intended. This is a common situation, and it is caused by how Shopify handles page templates in the Theme Editor.
## **Why This Happens**
In Shopify, the Theme Editor is used to edit **templates** — reusable page layouts that multiple pages can share. When you add a section to a template, it appears on every page that uses that template.
For example, the **Default Page template** is often used by many pages on your store (your About page, your Contact page, your Terms page, etc.). If you add a section while that template is selected, it appears on all of those pages.
This is a Shopify behavior, not specific to Iconic Sections.
## **How to Check Which Template You Are Editing**
When you are in the Theme Editor, look at the **page selector** at the top of the screen. It shows the name of the current template you are editing (for example, "Default page", "Index", "Collection", "Product", etc.).
If you see "Default page" and you have added a section there, that section will appear on every page using the Default page template.
## **Fix 1: Add the Section While on the Specific Page**
Before adding a section in the Theme Editor, navigate to the exact page where you want it to appear. The Template Editor updates to show only that page's template.
1. On your live store, go to the specific page you want to add the section to.
2. While on that page, open the Theme Editor from Shopify admin (or click Customize from Online Store > Themes).
3. The Theme Editor opens with that specific page's template selected.
4. Add the section here — it will only apply to the currently selected page if the page has its own unique template.
This works reliably when the page uses a unique template. If the page uses a shared template like "Default page", the section will still appear on all pages using that template. In that case, use Fix 2.
## **Fix 2: Create a Page-Specific Template**
The most reliable way to add a section to only one page is to give that page its own dedicated template.
1. In the Theme Editor, click the template name at the top to open the template selector.
2. Click **Create template** and give it a name (for example, "page.about" for your About page).
3. Shopify creates a duplicate of the current template with a new name.
4. Add your section to this new template.
5. Back in Shopify admin, go to **Online Store > Pages** and open the page you want.
6. In the **Theme template** dropdown on the right, select your new template.
7. Save the page.
Your section now only appears on that specific page.
## **Fix 3: Check the Header and Footer**
If a section appears on absolutely every page — including the homepage, product pages, and collection pages — it may have been accidentally added to the **header** or **footer** sections, which are truly global and appear on every page by design.
1. Open the Theme Editor.
2. Check the header and footer sections in the left sidebar.
3. If your section is listed there, click on it and delete it, then add it again to the correct page template.
