Installing a section from Iconic Sections is a straightforward process. This guide walks you through each step — from finding a section to seeing it live on your store.

Before You Begin

Make sure the App Embed is enabled on your theme. Without it, sections will install but will not appear on your storefront. If you have not done this yet, follow the Enabling the App Embed guide first.

Step-by-Step: Installing a Free Section

  1. Go to the Sections page in the Iconic Sections app.
  2. Browse or search for the section you want, then click its card to open the Section Details pop-up.
  3. Click Add section to any theme.
  4. A dropdown appears — select the theme you want to install the section in.
  5. Click Install to confirm.
The section files are now added to your selected theme.

Step-by-Step: Installing a Paid Section

  1. Go to the Sections page and click a paid section to open its details.
  2. Click Purchase now.
  3. Shopify’s billing prompt appears, showing the one-time price — review it and click Approve to confirm the charge.
  4. After payment, select the theme from the dropdown.
  5. Click Install.
The section is now purchased and installed. You own it permanently — no recurring charge.
One-time section purchases are non-refundable. Use the Try Before You Buy feature to preview a paid section on a development theme before purchasing.

Adding the Section to a Page

Installing a section adds its files to your theme, but it does not automatically place it on any page. You need to add it through the Shopify Theme Editor:
  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on your active theme.
  2. Navigate to the page where you want to place the section (homepage, a specific collection page, a custom page, etc.).
  3. In the left sidebar, click Add section.
  4. Scroll through the list or search by name to find your newly installed section.
  5. Click it to add it to the page.
  6. Customize the content, colors, and settings in the right-hand panel.
  7. Click Save.
Your section is now live on that page.

Installing on Multiple Themes

A section installed on one theme is not automatically available on other themes. If you want the same section on a different theme:
  1. Go to My Library in the app.
  2. Find the section and select Install to another theme.
  3. Choose the target theme from the dropdown and confirm.
Since you already own the section, there is no additional charge.
If you manage multiple themes — for example, a live theme and a development copy — install sections on each theme separately through My Library.
