Templates are professionally designed, complete page layouts built for a specific type of store — women’s clothing, skin care, coffee, and more. Instead of picking sections one at a time and arranging them yourself, a template gives you a full, ready-to-launch page in a single install. You only need to swap in your own images and text.

How Templates Work

Each template is a curated combination of 10 to 12 sections, pre-arranged in an order designed to convert — a hero banner, featured products, collection grid, social proof, FAQs, and more, all built around one niche and visual style. When you install a template, every section is added to your chosen theme at once and already placed on the page, ready to edit. This is different from installing sections individually: with a template, the layout, ordering, and styling decisions are already made for you. You add content, not structure.

Templates vs. Sections and Bundles

  • Sections are single, standalone components you add and position yourself, one at a time, anywhere on any page.
  • Bundles are a set of related sections sold together at a discount, but you still add each one to a page yourself in the Theme Editor.
  • Templates are a complete page — all included sections are installed and arranged together in one click, so the page is ready to go as soon as installation finishes.
Templates are the fastest way to get a professional, finished-looking page live on your store.

Available Template Categories

Templates are organized by store niche, such as:
  • Fashion & Apparel — e.g. Women Clothing
  • Health & Beauty — e.g. Skin Care
  • Food & Beverage — e.g. Coffee
New template categories are added regularly. If you don’t see a template for your niche yet, you can submit a request — see Requesting a Custom Template.

Pricing Options

Templates are sold in one of two ways, shown on each template’s details pop-up:
  • One-time charge — pay once and use the template forever, with no recurring fees
  • Recurring subscription — a subscription price that can be cancelled at any time
Check the pricing option listed on the specific template you want before purchasing, as this can vary by template.

What You Get After Installing

After installing a template:
  • All of its sections are added to your chosen theme, already arranged into a complete page
  • Each section can still be customized individually through the Shopify Theme Editor, just like any other section
  • The template — and every section within it — appears in My Library for reinstalling on another theme later
